★There's Nothing Wrong With Being Transgender★

So, I usually don't write heavy blogs like this. I wanted my site to be more happy, and out going, and not so sad, but there's things that have come up that just kind of piss me off.  I was scrolling through facebook and came across my coworker's facebook post about a transgender teacher in Milwaukee who committed suicide in 2014 due to bullying in her own school. She was a teacher, and her own co workers, and I'm not for sure about this one, but also the students were bullying her after it came out that she was transgender.

Children is one thing, but at the age someone needs to be teaching them differently and to respect other people..  However, the co workers are what really set me off. These are people that are meant to be a support, and work as a team. For 10 years she's endured this bullying, and she's actually reached out for help from the principal for help but they turned their back on her.  This is what is pissing me off so much about the school systems today is that they tell us to come to an adult for help when bullying is happening but when someone actually does they just brush it under the carpet like it doesn't even matter! This issue is not only touching the lives of adults but it's also hitting home with children. There was Leelah, and there was Taylor Alesana. These people are reaching out for help but they are being pushed down like they aren't even human.  I am more mad at the Principal for not taking the stand and assisting one of his own, and for the counselors for ignoring the cries of their own student. This cloud now hangs over all your heads, and the last thing that will remain on the plate is that you pushed them to this.

People want to think that the issue doesn't exist. The issue is that this is the next obstacle in our world to come to accept people. For all those Christians out there thinking that this is an abomination, how do you know that your God isn't testing you to make sure that you won't past judgement on someone that isn't even different from you at all!  Why should it matter whether someone is a boy or girl by birth? I think if they are showing who they really are then why should it matter? If they are a whole hearted person with love in their heart then why are we tripping? People are freaking out about them using the bathroom? Canada has bathrooms that both men and women use at the same time. I admit that concept to me was strange but that's because of how I was raised. This world may be ugly, but I want you to know you are not alone.

What is wrong with wanting to treat a human being with respect? What is wrong with wanting to belong in the same world as everyone else? I'm not going to say "normal" because normal does NOT exist in this world. We are all different in our personalities but we are still all human in the end and we still have to show each other respect.

I know this is all over the place, but that's because I'm just pouring out what I'm thinking. To those who are Transgender, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, and YOU ARE WORTH IT. I want you to know that even though I'm not famous, or popular you have a friend in me. There is nothing wrong with knowing something in your soul that you are not the gender you were born.  I think God can make a mistake, or maybe you were placed to make a difference. You're not alone, and I want you to know that.  Many people fear something they do not understand and sometimes they may never know how you feel unless if they go through it themselves, which may be never, but you can still help change views of the world. It is sad that in our world today that you have to go through an uphill battle just to live your life, and it angers me that people are not taking this issue seriously.  If you just need someone to talk to then message me, and if not I know there's someone out there who will support you. Reach out to the LGBT community online, or even near a college campus. These suicides have to stop, and it has to stop by the community, not the person contemplating it because it is NOT the person contemplating, it's the people around them making them feel as if they have no one else to go to. We must be there for one another. The same goes for any type of bullying too. Reach out, whether it be to me, or to someone close.  Your life is worth living.

These are the eyes and the lies of the taken
These are their hearts but their hearts don’t beat like ours
They burn ‘cause they are all afraid
For every one of us, there’s an army of them
But you’ll never fight alone
‘Cause I wanted you to know

That the world is ugly
But you’re beautiful to me
Well are you thinking of me now (now)

These are the nights and the lights that we fade in
These are the words but the words aren’t coming out
They burn ‘cause they are hard to say
For every failing sun, there’s a morning after
Though I’m empty when you go
I just wanted you to know

That the world is ugly
But you’re beautiful to me
Are you thinking of me,
Like I’m thinking of you?
I would say I’m sorry, though
Though I really need to go
I just wanted you to know

I wanted you to know
I wanted you to know
I’m thinking of you every night, every day

These are the lies and the lives of the taken
These are their hearts but their hearts don’t beat like ours
They burn ‘cause they are all afraid
When mine beats twice as hard

‘Cause the world is ugly
But you’re beautiful to me
Are you thinking of me
Like I’m thinking of you
I would say I’m sorry, though
Though I really need to go
I just wanted you to know
That the world is ugly (I just wanted you to know)
But you’re beautiful to me (I just wanted you to know)
Are you thinking of me

Stop your crying, helpless feeling
Dry your eyes and start believing
There’s one thing they’ll never take from you

(One day like this,
We’ll never be the same
Never forever
Like ghosts in the snow
Like ghosts in the sun)

    1. I feel the same way. I don't want to see anymore unnecessary deaths because someone was bullying them.
